A public tea at the White Horse Inn to celebrate the wedding of the Prince of Wales - 10th. March 1863

Possibly a Garden Fete at the Village Hall.
John Smith "middle right", sharing a joke with whom. Mr Hewson "with the cap", is on the right of John Smith.

Unfortunately we do not have any information as to what the celebration was.

This photograph is thought to have been taken at North Cotes Show.

It is thought that they were probably running some of the stalls at the show.

On the occasion of the 40th wedding anniversary of Ian and Ruth Birkin (nee Jackson).
Joining them are Ruths parents, Julian and Marjorie Jackson together with her sister Alice and husband Chris.

Mrs Welton was bus conductress during WW2. She sadly lost her first husband, Harry William Houlden in this conflict.

"Uncle Sam", as he was affectionately known, lived in a wooden bungalow in May Richardsons garden, in front of the Village Hall.

This photograph was taken at the Golden Wedding celebrations of Fred and Kath Grantham - Circa; 1977
The two men with them are evacuees who lived with them during WW2.
On the left is Donald Jowett and his brother Dennis is on the right.
