This photograph was taken at their home, West End House, in West End Lane, Marshchapel in 1948/9.

Mr Smith and wife Nancy.
This photograph was taken outside their bungalow in Hallgarth, Marshchapel.
They were the parents of Jim Smith who ran the Post Offce for many years when it was in Church Lane.

Unfortunately neither the date nor the place are known.

Mrs Maud Wray. Wife of Fred Wray the village baker.
They lived in what is now called "The Old Bakery". In those days the house was called "The Fuschias".
This picture was taken in the garden of the School House.
In the background you can just see the roof over the pea viners down Mill Lane.

Mrs Nielsen and Mrs Jensen who were sisters. This photograph was probably taken down Littlefield Lane.

This phtograph was taken in the School House garden in around 1948.
In the background can be seen the roof of the stationary pea viner which was situated in Mill Lane.
