This photograph was taken at the rear of Frank Whiteleys Butchers Shop on Sea Dyke Way, Marshchapel
The Fish and Chip Shop was on the other side of the fence and the small corrugated iron building seen in the background was used to house the potato "rumbler". This was filled with water and potatoes and turning the handle peeled them ready for chipping.

This photograph was taken c. 1949 in the garden attached to the corner shop -Sea Dyke Way and Littlefield Lane - which was owned by their parents.

Richard Marshalls parents ran the shop which used to be on the corner of Sea Dyke Way and Littlefield Lane. He had a step-brother, Charles, brother Peter and sister Marjorie, known as Midge.

Eva Leak lived in Marshchapel for most of her life. She was married to Eric and had three children: Tony, Jennifer and Linda.

This photograph was taken in the garden of Roses cottage which is situated at the end of Duckthorpe Lane near the junction with Hallgarth.
The properties in Duckthorpe Lane were built on the garden of this cottage in the 1960s.

Kathleen Stubbs and Margaret Patrick - the dog was thought to have been called Jack.
This photograph was taken in West End Lane, Marshchapel. C. 1930s

Annie lived in one of the cottages near the Church.
The photograph was taken in the mid 1950s.

Rosemary Williams - now Broadhurst.
She is the daughter of William and Kathleen Williams.
This photograph was taken at Willow Tree Corner, Firebeacon before the building of Covenham Reservoir and subsequent houses - early or mid1950s.
With the amount of traffic using this road now (2013) this would have been a very dangerous outing for a child.

I am reliably informed that the 3 wheeler did NOT belong to him!
