Alf Wright. He ran both the fish and chip shops in Marshchapel the old one being on the main road near the school and the other being on the main road between the Chapel and what used to be the Greyhound Inn.
He would cycle to Grimsby Docks to pick up his fish with a big biscuit tin on his bike.
However, in 1949 on one of his trips he fell ill in Bethlehem Street, Grimsby and later died in hospital.
