This photograph shows Henry Marshall, who owned the corner shop on Sea Dyke Way and Littlefeld Lane, sitting in his car outside the blue bungalow which used to stand in Littlefield Lane, to the rear of his shop. A house now stands on this site. To the right of the photograph the lady with the baby is Beattie, Henry's first wife, who sadly died as a result of a fire. Their son, Charles survived.
The photograph was thought to have been taken around 1934. Also in the background, behind Beattie, can be seen a horse drawn vehicle which was used in his business.
