This visit to Marshchapel could have been instigated by Stan Towl. Having been in the entertainment business he was acquainted with Violet Carson who played Ena Sharples in Coronation Street and the visit of William Roach could have been oganised by her.
She and other members of the cast have visited Marshchapel on several occasions.
