George Arnold Pearce and his wife Jane.
They lived in a cottage opposite the old Chapel near the War Memorial on Sea Dyke Way. The cottage was in front of the Village Hall and has since been demolished.
George was a lay preacher for 20 years.
George died 17 Otober 1950 aged 80 and Jane died 11 May 1955 aged 80.
