This photograph was taken at the rear of Frank Whiteley's Butchers Shop on Sea Dyke Way, Marshchapel
The Fish and Chip Shop was on the other side of the fence and the small corrugated iron building seen in the background was used to house the potato "rumbler". This was filled with water and potatoes and turning the handle peeled them ready for chipping.
