Mary Swaby - nee Kirk.
She was the wife of Thomas Swaby who made the pews and carved the pew ends in St. Mary'sChurch.
"Swaby Close" is named after him.
Mary was born in 1795 in Marshchapel and died in 1877.She married in 1819 and had 11 surviving children in 26 years.
