"Lapstone Villa", Sea Dyke Way, Marshchapel.
The Clover family lived there from 1935 to 1967.
It was then occupied by Dennis and Joyce Quirke (nee Clover), until her death on 30th. November 2007.
(her husband Dennis having pre-deceased her).

The Post Offic and Village Store on the corner of Littlefield Lane and Hallgarth - 2009.
To the right can be seen what used to be part of the old Sowbys shop, and further down the bakery, now turned into domestic residencies.
In the foreground is the car park and this is where Jim Fulstow had his small workshop where he made clothes horses and ironing boards.
At one time he also kept a pig here together with a few chickens.

This photograph of the Louth Canal floods of 1960 shows the white house (formerly the Ship & Horns pub) more clearly.
The warehouse buildings can just be seen behind it and across the road.

This photograph from the Louth Canal Flood of 1960 shows the white house at the junction of Firebeacon Lane. It can be seen how close to the Canal it actually was.
Top righ of the picture show the left and right hand bends in Firebeacon Lane which now lead to Covenham Reservoir.
The Reservoir was built between 1963 and 1978.

In the distance can be seen a white house. This used to be the Ship & Horns pub.
This pub would have been ued by the bargees who stopped here to unload their goods at the warehouse near the Canal.
This house was demolished probably later in the 1960s and a bungalow was built in its place.

Marshalls shop on the corner of Sea Dyke Way and Littlefield Lane, Marshchapel.
The shop was later converted into two houses.
This photograph was taken c. 1975.

This photograph has the date 26th. August 1956 written on the back.
The shop belonged to Mr and Mrs Marshall and was on the corner of Sea Dyke Way and Littlefield Lane.
The young boy seen in the photograph is Richard Marshall, son of the owner.

This photograph had to have been taken after 1930 when Mr Henry Marshall
bought the premises on the corner of Sea Dyke Way and Littlefield Lane.

This is where Marshalls shop used to be, on the corner of Sea Dyke Way and Littlefield Lane.
It changed hands several times before eventually being turned into domestic residences.

Unfortunately the date of the photograph is unknown.
