The date of this postcard is unknown.

This photograph of Norman Cottage was taken in the early 1900s.
The Reverend Ayscoghe Floyer had this built in 1845 for his curate, Mr Fox.

The Chapel on the right was next to the war memorial and the house on the left
was on land in front of the village hall, now both demolished.

This picture shows a road side shed just beyond the chapel, which is not seen in later pictures.
This Chapel was built in 1854 and closed in 1959. It was demolished in 1966.

Photograph probably taken in the first quarter of the 20th. centuary.

Wrights old fish and chip shop can be seen on the junction of Sea Dyke Way
and Church Lane, with the school in the background.

The old Vicarage in Church Lane. This is now called "The Limes".
It looks like the photograph is of the vicar of the time and his family.

The date of this OS map is not known. However, if you look along Sea Dyke Way
towards the White Horse, you will see in what is now the playing field, a school is marked.
From our records, this would appear to be a rather tempory building, erected by the non-conformists to teach their
children themselves, rather than send them to the other school which had input from the vicar of the local church.

This photograph was taken in 2011 and shows the new house that was built on the site of the old garage and filling station.
On the left can be seen the old blacksmiths workshop of Caudwell Farms, where Stan Lowis used to work. His house was next door on the left.

This was the original "Blacksmiths Workshop".
It was in use until about 1950 when the large workshop was built behind it.

United Methodist Chapel - Sea Dyke Way c.1900/1910
This Chapel stood adjacent to the War Memorial and was demolished in 1966.
This photograph appears to be of a village function taking place near the Chapel.
On the left, towards the back of the picture, can be seen a stall which may have been serving refreshments.
