View from the bridge on Church Lane, looking across the fields towards West End Lane.

View looking down Sea Dyke Way towards the garage.
The date of this picture is uncertain, but could have been the 1920s / 1930s.
The house on the left was demolished and replaced.

This cottage, opposite the playing field in North Cotes, was the home of Harry and Alice Pickard and their sons.
It is thought to be one of the first of six original cottages, built in North Cotes for shepherds, some 400/500 years ago (i.e. in the 1500s).
Originally it had 500 acres of land. The construction was mud and stud and would have had a thatched roof, which was later converted with corrugated tin.
It had two bedrooms with a portable ladder access. It was demolished in 1975 when two detached houses were built on the site.

This shows the road from Marshchapel to Eskham.
From the age of the car this could have been taken in the first one/two decades of the 20th century and had been made into a postcard.

Another view of the Old Post Office in Church Lane, Marshchapel.
Unfortunately there is no name over the shop but from the age of the car this photograph could have been taken very early on in the 20th century.

Alf Wrights house "Ivanhoe" can just be seen to the right of the Post Office.
The old fish and chip shop was situated in front of "Ivanhoe" but nearer the road.

This photograph was taken at the rear of Rookery Farm.
The square building in the foreground is thought to have been used in the past as the "Village Lock up".
It can be seen from Sea Dyke Way on the left hand side going out of the village towards North Cotes.

This is on Sea Dyke Way on the left going out of the village to Norh Cotes.

Once used as Caudwells Farm Offices but later let out as domestic dwellings.

This postcard was posted on 1st February 1924.
The picture was taken on the bends on the main road at the junction wih Duckthorpe Lane.
The postcard was sent from Annie Dowlman (nee Johnson) to her brother in law, Henry Stubbs, in Cleethorpes to wish him a happy Birthday.
She notes on the card - "This is Bramhills Corner at Marshchapel".

This car features in several of the postcard pictures of the village.
Possibly the vehicle used by the photographer.
