The Old Post Office and Shop.
Junction of Church Lane and Sea Dyke Way.

Another view of the Old Post Office in Church Lane, Marshchapel.
Unfortunately there is no name over the shop but from the age of the car this photograph could have been taken very early on in the 20th century.

Alf Wrights house "Ivanhoe" can just be seen to the right of the Post Office.
The old fish and chip shop was situated in front of "Ivanhoe" but nearer the road.

To the right of the picture can be seen the cottage called "Ivanhoe".

This photograph is of the Red Garage, Sea Dyke Way, Marshchapel when it was owned by Mr George S. Atkinson (Mrs Marjorie Mossops father).
It was thought the photograph was taken pre 1925.

Ralph Riggalls house and workshop on Sea Dyke Way. The house used to be in front of the Village Hall on what is now a grass verge.

The "Red Garage" can be seen on the left hand side of the photograph.

This photograph was taken at the rear of Rookery Farm.
The square building in the foreground is thought to have been used in the past as the "Village Lock up".
It can be seen from Sea Dyke Way on the left hand side going out of the village towards North Cotes.

This is on Sea Dyke Way on the left going out of the village to Norh Cotes.

Once used as Caudwells Farm Offices but later let out as domestic dwellings.
This property can be found on the left-hand side of Sea Dyke Way heading towards North Cotes.

This postcard was posted on 1st February 1924.
The picture was taken on the bends on the main road at the junction wih Duckthorpe Lane.
The postcard was sent from Annie Dowlman (nee Johnson) to her brother in law, Henry Stubbs, in Cleethorpes to wish him a happy Birthday.
She notes on the card - "This is Bramhills Corner at Marshchapel".

This drawing of Sargents bungalow was done by Nora Sargents sister, Olive West, when she lived with them.
The bungalow was down Littlefield Lane - now demolished.

By 1964 there was an indoor toilet.
No more running down the garden with Wallys cap. See previous image

This bill is for work done on the Sargents bungalow in 1929.

It can be seen that the toilet is outside.
The story has it that if Wally went to the outside convenience without his cap, Nora had to take it out to him!

This picture of Sargents bungalow in Littlefield Lane shows that the other similar bungalow next door had been demolished and a new house built in its place.
