This photograph has been taken from Littlefield Lane, looking towards the Marshchapel Combined Trust Semi-detached Cottages on Sea Dyke Way.
This land, also belonging to the trust, is referred to as "The Gardens", rather than the allotments. The reason for this is that they were originally the
gardens of a row of cottages that were owned by the trust. In the late 1800's a fire broke out in one of the cottages causing severe damage.
They were eventually demolished and the pair of semi-detached cottages on Sea Dyke Way were built in their place.
