Church & Chapel

The vicar is believed to be Alexander L Routledge who served as vicar at St. Marys Church from 1883 to 1906.

Marshchapel and District Choral Society.
Formed in July 1923, they won many local competitions under the conductorship of Mr. G.E. Wray.
This photo is from the late 1920s with the Marshchapel Mill in the background.

The burial place of Ayscoghe Floyer who died on 24 August 1872 aged 50.
He was a vicar of St. Marys Church, Marshchapel and is buried in the Chuchyard there.
He is responsible for the re-building of the Chancel - the section of the Church that contains the organ and choir stalls.
